Privacy and consent

You can update your privacy settings and consent at any time.

Occasionally, your organisation will need to renew your consent preferences, so you will be redirected to the privacy and consent screen after logging into Assemble and you won't be able to proceed until completing this step.

To find out more about the privacy and consents of your organisation, please visit the My data page which can be accessed by clicking on your initials (or photo if you've uploaded one) in the right-hand corner of the top menu. Alternatively contact your organisation.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication is a way to add an extra layer of security to your Assemble user account if you would like. Instead of just needing your email address and password to log in, you'll also be asked to enter a code that's sent directly to you. With two-factor authentication, someone would need to have your email address, password and direct access to your phone or email account as well. You may have used this system when buying things online, with your credit card provider texting you a code to enter before you can complete payment. In Assemble you'll not be asked for the code every time but just from time to time.

Select enable two-factor if you'd like to turn this on and choose one of the following options

Email - You'll get an email with a six-digit code to your personal email which you can copy and paste the code. Please make sure the correct email address is registered and marked as primary if you have more than one email address saved.

SMS (text message) - Before choosing this option make sure you have added your mobile phone number to your profile in Assemble (in the Contacts tab) or you won't be able to use this method.

Authentication app - If you don't have one downloaded on your phone yet you will need to download it before choosing this option. Authentication apps, like Google Authenticator, are used by lots of different systems as a way to have two-factor authentication on your accounts, websites and other online services.

NB Two-factor authentication is compulsory for all managers.
