Applicant

A person who had applied to a volunteering opportunity.

Bulk Actions

Bulk actions allow you to perform the same action to a group of people instead of doing it individually; e.g. at My team listing page you can send a message, or add recognition to a group of selected people.

Directory

This is similar to an address book, where you can search staff members and other volunteers in the organisation​.

Hub

The hub​ is where any documents for volunteers information are stored.

Icons 

On Assemble the icons always indicate functionality or the state of functionality. E.g. the bell at the top menu indicates the notifications functionality and the dots on the applications listing page indicates at what state/stage the application is.

All icons have a hover effect, to see what the icon function place your mouse on top of it.

Internal message (IM)

Assemble internal message system you can access by clicking on the envelope at the top of any page.

Modal

A modal dialogue is a short cut window that opens to allow you to enter the requested information without leaving the page you are currently in the application. E.g. when selecting the "New message" button on the IM drop-down at the top menu, it will open a version of the IM composer so you can quickly send a message without leaving the page you are in.

Non-volunteer

A person who is part of the organisation as permanent staff and usually has an administrative role.

Opportunities 

Opportunities in Assemble context are volunteering vacancies.

Onboarding 

This refers to the process of getting the organisation volunteers in the system by giving them a code so they can register their details to start using Assemble system.

Teams

Teams in Assemble normally represents the organisation structure, whether the organisation are structured by location area, departments, shops etc.

Touchpoints

They record communication between the organisation and a volunteer. They are part of a volunteer' management record.  

Target

this is what audience this is intended for, internal volunteers or external applicants. For example, you may have current opportunities (see above) available, you would need to select a target​, so would be visible to internal or external candidates.

Widget

Some pages on Assemble are divided into sections, we call this sections widget. E.g. Dashboard has Applications, Opportunities, reminders widgets and etc.

Wizard

Like the widget, the wizard is also the sections of a page but on this case, the sections are steps that need to be completed. E.g. When applying for an opportunity on the public site the applications are divided into steps and the user needs to complete one step to move to the next we call wizard all of the steps the user has to go through to complete his application.
